Mr. Rost specializes in representing clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, business law transactions and probate matters. For over thirty years he has helped clients purchase, sell, finance, refinance and lease homes and commercial properties; form, purchase, sell and restructure business entities; and probate and settle estates in the Connecticut Probate Courts. He has also represented many clients in the formation and completion of condominium projects in order to sell units in the residential market. Mr. Rost’s extensive experience and proficiency in commercial matters has resulted in his currently representing Newtown Savings Bank in various loan transactions to commercial owners of real estate within Fairfield and New Haven counties.
Mr. Rost is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and Bridgeport Bar Association. He is a past instructor in Business Law at Fairfield University having taught the basic principles of business law to undergraduate and graduate students for five years. In addition he has served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Center for Community Services, having held the offices of President, Vice President and Treasurer. He is also a past President of the Probus Club of Greater Bridgeport. Over the years Mr. Rost has volunteered his time and provided legal services to many other local charitable organizations resulting in numerous awards in recognition of his charitable endeavors.
While having been born in New York, New York, Mr. Rost has resided in Connecticut for over sixty years. He graduated from Bowdoin College prior to attending Boston University School of Law where he received his J.D. degree in 1968. Mr. Rost also taught mathematics for one year in the middle school in Monroe, Connecticut, and having previously played college basketball and soccer, he coached jr. high school students on a part-time basis.
