Mr. Sobel represents clients in residential and commercial real estate matters, land use law, construction law, business transactions, civil litigation and estate and probate matters.

Mr. Sobel's experience in commercial real estate matters includes representation of developers, owners, landlords and tenants on purchases, development, financing, leasing, sales and 1031 exchanges. Mr. Sobel's development experience includes formation of both residential and commercial condominiums, including public offering statements and declarations. Mr. Sobel has also represented title insurance companies on matters pertaining to coverage and defense of claims and has acted as company-retained counsel for insureds on title disputes.

Mr. Sobel's construction law practice includes representation of owners, general contactors and subcontractors. Mr. Sobel's experience includes mechanic's lien and payment bond claims, bid disputes, performance disputes and other public and private contracting matters.

Mr. Sobel obtained his law degree from Western New England College in 1979 and his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1976. Although Mr. Sobel does not currently practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark office, he is a former patent examiner and is admitted as a member of the patent bar. Mr. Sobel belongs to the Connecticut and Bridgeport Bar Associations. He served on his town's school building committee and has been a longstanding member of his town's board of education.
